Family keeps Swiatek grounded despite remarkable rise: "Feel like I'm still the same Iga"

Iga Swiatek has achieved much in tennis and is a global superstar yet she doesn't feel any different with her family keeping her grounded.

Swiatek still goes home frequently and uses her own room at her old house instead of her own place. It's just one of many things that prove how humble Swiatek has remained while becoming a true menace on the tennis court.

She talked about her evolution this year:

“It’s hard to pinpoint just one thing because, besides getting better at tennis and developing as a player, I have also grown up. This year showed me that I can actually handle more pressure than I thought and that I can be consistent even on the highest level, and I worked really hard to achieve that.”

She also mentioned the importance of having a good support system:

“Having support around you and the team is a big part of our sport, even though it’s an individual sport. And my family ... when my career has grown so fast, they’re the people who balance it and I feel like I’m still the same Iga.”
