Former champion Garbine Muguruza provisionally enters Wimbledon as an alternate in potential early end to her tennis break

Garbine Muguruza has potentially shown her intention to return early from her break away from tennis which was initially set to last for both Roland Garros and Wimbledon.

Muguruza has entered into the provisional Entry List for Wimbledon, where she is a former champion albeit as an alternate. She has not played since January.

"Spending time with family and friends and it's really been healthy and amazing, so I am going to lengthen this period till summer," Muguruza said on social media at the time as well as saying it would be for both Grand Slams.

This may yet be just a way of Muguruza returning if she is ready at the time with all players entered automatically which also includes Emma Raducanu who seemingly is out until at least the US Open.
