Former doubles partner of Coco Gauff, Caty McNally undergoes elbow surgery after 10 months of pain

A common feature of Coco Gauff's tennis rise was Caty McNally with their team dubbed McCoco seeing the two teenagers at the time have superb doubles success. But she has since struggled with injury and has undergone elbow surgery after 10 months of pain.

A winner of eight doubles titles and three of them with Coco Gauff. She reached two major finals at the 2021 and 2022 US Open with Gauff and Taylor Townsend. She also reached the third round in singles of the 2020 US Open and has won one title on the WTA Challenger Tour. She reached a high of World No.54 in singles last year and after withdrawing from the Australian Open played the Transylvania Open. But last played on the WTA 125k circuit in Puerto Vallerta last month.

"Yesterday started a new chapter in my journey. After 10 months of elbow pain and multiple conservative routes, we made the decision that surgery was the best option moving forward. I’m extremely grateful for Dr. Dugas and his team who took incredible care of me. Surgery was a success and now it is time to crush the rehab to get back to playing the sport I love," she wrote.

Camila Osorio, Jennifer Brady, Madison Keys and Coco Gauff were among those to comment their love for McNally who will now aim to return to her best after recovery after struggling for some time with the pain.
