Simona Halep has been banned from tennis since October of last year when her positive test to a bad substance became public knowledge.
She's been on a quest to clear her name since then and reports suggested that Halep built a very good case to prove that the substance ended up in her body by mistake however the hearing was pushed back. She can't return to tennis until that hearing happens and a decision comes. It was supposed to be in March but it was pushed back as confirmed by her father:
“We still don’t know anything. We’re waiting just like you are. We don’t know what’s happening. The deadline was initially set for the 28th, but from what we understand, it was postponed to 30th. We are doing okay. When you’re innocent, you fight tooth and nail.”
One of the coach from her circle also spoke to the media on the matter saying:
“The trial was supposed to take place twice so far, but it was postponed for various reasons. Physical samples, the drugs or the can were sent, and as far as I know they were refused, a laboratory examination was requested.”
