Following her victory over good friend Angelique Kerber at the 2024 Indian Wells Open, Caroline Wozniacki jokingly weighed in on her and her husband's success if they switched sports.
Wozniacki has been married to former NBA star David Lee since June 2019, and the ex-basketball player is often seen in the Danish star's players box during her matches. Lee was present to witness the clash between two mothers, former World No.1's and Grand Slam champions, as Wozniacki defeated Kerber in straight sets to advance to the quarterfinals at Indian Wells.

Basketball is not her strong suit, admits Wozniacki

During the on-court interview after the match, Wozniacki was asked of her husband's chances against her in a tennis match. Additionally, the host inquired how she would fare if she played against him in basketball.
"I'm terrible at basketball and he's 6'9 so maybe he could get one serve in but if he's not playing the serves, I think neither of us has any chance at each other's sports," replied Wozniacki with a laugh.
The former Australian Open champion may not have much to laugh at in her next match however, as she faces World No.1 Iga Swiatek for a spot in the semifinals. They have clashed just once on tour, with the Polish star emerging victorious during their encounter at the 2019 Canadian Open.
