According to Tommy Paul, his compatriot and Davis Cup teammate Taylor Fritz is very dangerous to any singles player in a match.
Fritz and Pual recently played in Acapulco and it was a close 3-set match which Paul ended up winning after handling the tricky conditions a bit better. The Americans both made a strong start at the Indian Wells Masters and it's actually an event that Fritz won last year. Paul referenced that in his talks with the media:
“He's had an unbelievable past year. He's been the most consistent of the Americans and had the best results of the Americans. That's why he is where he is. That's why he's No. 1 American and that's why he's top 5."
Speaking further on Fritz, Paul said:
“He's got a great serve. He's improved so much, to me. I think the thing he's improved the most is probably his movement. He has good defense now. I think when he first came on tour he always had the offense but the defense maybe lacked a little bit and now he's moving better and he's getting out of the corners better."
The American concluded with:
“Yeah, playing him is not always fun. It's constant pressure. He's super dangerous to any single player in the world."
