As the US Open draws closer, tennis star Jessica Pegula also has her eye on the return of American football, with the NFL season kicking off a few weeks later.

It's no secret that Pegula is the daughter of NFL team Buffalo Bills owner Terry Pegula, and is therefore highly invested in the success of her hometeam. In addition to winning her maiden Grand Slam at Flushing Meadows, the World No.3 would also her team to bring home silverware.

In a recent interview prior to the US Open, Pegula was asked about her wish for the Buffalo Bills.

"I hope a Superbowl," she said, laughing. "I don't know what else to say. I can't say anything less, but I hope we have a great year."
