Emma Raducanu considers her results a success as she prepares to take on the rest of the 2024 season.
The British star won back-to-back matches for the first time this year as she advanced to the third round, defeating Rebeka Masarova and Dayana Yastremska in the process. However, she was overpowered by World No.2
Aryna Sabalenka in the following round, who ousted her in a 6-3 7-5 competitive showing.
Raducanu eager to get back on the court
The 2021 US Open champion took some time to reflect on her performance at the tournament, stressing she believes the event was a positive one for her and expressing her excitement at competing this season.
"It was a good success, I would say." said the Brit in an interview with Sky Sports. "I think I have handled myself a lot better on the match court. I was a lot more positive and hungry to play, and that showed I think in the tennis I did play."
