Daria Kasatkina is the first player to come out against trash-talking as it became a recent topic with many players coming out in support of it.
It started in Miami when Pegula and Gauff called for more trash-talking in tennis which they see as a fun part of anything competitive. It's very prevalent in many sports though it's not that much in tennis because it was always discouraged. The court are filled with microphones so it would not be a good look for the sport and tennis is very sensitive to its image.
Kasatkina though isn't in favour of it which makes her the only major player that spoke on the topic to be against it:
"Tennis is different. I know fighters, basketball, in the US it’s a popular thing. We aren’t from the US so we’re not used to it. I was always educated that tennis is an intelligent sport. So I will go with that."
