Rodionova, who once again did not feature in the list, wrote a post on social media platform X — previously known as Twitter — where she expressed no surprise after being snubbed despite her impressive outing in the Brisbane International.
“I wish I could say I am surprised but honestly. The satisfaction of achieving it all absolutely on your own, despite all this stuff… it is worth it. I will see you guys at AO qualies in couple of days and I am PUMPED for this,” she wrote.
Rodionova’s journey in the Brisbane International came to an end as she lost in the round of 16 to Russia’s Mirra Andreeva in straight sets with a score of 6-1, 6-1. Before that, she defeated the 2020 Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin in the round of 32 with a score of 7-5, 7-6.
