Spanish tennis star
Paula Badosa has revealed that her back
recovery is progressing well ahead of the upcoming US Open.
The 25-year-old suffered a back injury earlier this year and
it was because of this reason, she had to retire from Wimbledon second-round
clash as well.
Badosa has been very public about her relationship with
Greece tennis star
Stefanos Tsitsipas. The two have been dating since last year
and are considered one of the power couples in the sport.
The Manhattan-born trained with Stefanos' brother Petros Tsitsipas
in order to prepare for the upcoming mega-event.
When asked whether that is a part of the arrangement of
getting in a relationship with Stefanos that she will get to train with his
brother, Badosa stated: “Yes, absolutely. If I date Stef, then I get Petros as
a practice partner.”
She further revealed that her recovery plan is on track
ahead of the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year which is set to begin in
less than a week’s time.
Badosa does not have a great record while playing at the US
Open where her best outing to date was playing in the second round.
