Bad news. Paula Badosa has withdrawn from the Thailand Open when she was losing to the young Russian Diana Shnaider by 6-2/3-4. She has suffered discomfort that has forced her to abandon the match;
Things did not start well for the New Yorker, who saw how with 2-2 on the scoreboard the Russian tennis player broke her serve, consolidated the break by winning her serve and went 4-2 up. As in the first match, Badosa started with problems in the first set.
Shnaider, 19, remained very aggressive with the serve of Badosa, again broke her serve and was placed 5-2 up in a placid first set for her. The Zhiguliovsk closed the set by 6-2.
