The Entry List has been confirmed for the first WTA 1000 of the season which will see the
Qatar Open take place between February 11-17th in Doha. Two-time defending champion,
Iga Swiatek leads the list with the whole WTA top 10 all signed up.
The Top 46 players in the WTA rankings have all entered the tournament, with three exceptions: Madison Keys, due to a shoulder injury; and Petra Kvitova and Belinda Bencic, who are both on maternity leave.
Naomi Osaka is the only player utilising a special ranking.
Swiatek will be joined at the top of the field by two-time Australian Open champion,
Aryna Sabalenka who skipped the tournament last year to continue Australian Open celebrations.
Coco Gauff,
Elena Rybakina and Jessica Pegula are all also involved. Karolina Muchova appears on the initial Entry List after previous injury woes, while Ons Jabeur as she is throughout the whole Middle Eastern swing will be a star attraction.
