Notable players include world No. 3 Rybakina, who returns to the tournament after reaching the quarterfinals last year, where she was defeated by Beatriz Haddad Maia. The Kazakh player will face tough competition with the confirmation of stars like Ons Jabeur (No. 6), Maria Sakkari (No. 9), and Barbora Krejcikova (No. 10).
Former US Open champion Emma Raducanu is expected to attract considerable attention as she recently returned to the WTA Tour after a 9-month hiatus. She showcased impressive form at the ASB Classic, securing a victory in the opening round against Elena-Gabriela Ruse (6-3, 4-6, 7-5) but was eliminated in the second round by Elina Svitolina (7-6, 6-7, 1-6).
Haddad Maia will also be present to defend the points from her semifinal appearance in Abu Dhabi in 2023, joined by the finalist from the last edition, Ludmila Samsonova. However, the reigning champion Belinda Bencic will not participate in Abu Dhabi due to her recent pregnancy. Naomi Osaka will also play in this tournament making a swift return after the Australian Open
