A quarterfinal clash against a fellow 2002-born player awaits 🔜 #TransylvaniaOpen
Emma Raducanu is through to the Transylvania Open quarterfinal after a win over Ana Bogdan but she is still finding her way.
Emma Raducanu is through to the quarterfinal of the Transylvania Open and while this match was a lot easier than her previous one the Brit is still finding her feet at the event and on the Tour. Despite being a grand slam champion, for Raducanu this event is only the 2nd WTA tour event and today's win was only her 2nd win on the Tour.
Speaking after the match she admitted:
"It's definitely taking me some time to find my feet still. I'm just taking some learnings from every match that I play. I don't think I'm the finished product yet."
Asked about how it felt playing a Romanian in Romania in front of Romanian fans Raducanu admitted:
"It was so good to play a Romanian. I loved having the crowd. It wasn't the fans unfortunately but all the volunteers that make this event possible. I really appreciate all your hard work. Thank you very much. I've just loved playing with some noise again against Ana."
Raducanu will get to play another match tomorrow where she will be able to earn some more valuable Tour experience she is lacking at the moment.
