Jelena Ostapenko selling trainers and storage boxes hours after revealing new Porsche as Alcaraz meets Del Potro, Anisimova begins pre-season

Including Aryna Sabalenka at a Stella Artois Brazil event, Jelena Ostapenko continuing her marketplace and also pre-season starting already.

Aryna Sabalenka could be called an honorary Brazilian given her partner, Georgios Frangulis was born and raised in Sao Paolo and that connection continued as she attended a launch for Stella Artois in Brazil.

Sabalenka has gone from being in the Maldives in the past few weeks to being at another big event in this case and shows no signs as of yet of getting back on the tennis court enjoying every moment of her time off. She hilariously quipped during her press conference that she wanted to do it quickly so she could get to the Maldives and drink Tequila. That was very much not tongue in cheek.

She is due to play next at The Garden Cup in the first week in December in New York before playing the so-called Battle of the Sexes with Nick Kyrgios then Brisbane looms in the first week of the new season.

Speaking of that battle of the sexes, Nick Kyrgios continues to ramp up his road towards recovery merely sharing a video today of him hitting a serve with wave emojis.

Kyrgios is currently set to play a lot of tennis in the coming weeks including World Tennis League, The Garden Cup and Battle of the Sexes as well as the Kooyong Tennis Classic.

He recently had the revelation as per AAP that he was miraculously back to being able to play again after a pretty poro comeback albeit given he's not signed up for any sort of tournaments yet on the main tour, it likely has to be handled tentatively.

“Like around that Washington period (in late July) I really didn’t have hope to be able to play AO or just ever get back to that point of where I felt comfortable and competing and really letting my body go,” he said.“But something in the last month, I don’t know what it is. I was with my masseuse and physio last night and something really has changed with my knee. Like it’s not swelling. It’s not feeling bad after a session.”

Taylor Fritz is certainly in his influencer, off season era as he shared multiple candid shots of him at the F1 over the weekend.

Taking place in Las Vegas on the street circuit, Fritz had pit access and was a VIP for the race. He was seen on his photos both all smiles and also holding hands with his girlfriend Morgan Riddle with both looking focused while having their photo taken.

It also smacks in the face as such of Fritz saying there is no off season with the American enjoying time off. He was seen playing Celebrity Poker last week in a picture that went viral for the sheer hilarity of it all and Fritz actually playing poker.

But while he perhaps has a point, it does semi fly in the face of the so called no off season.

Jelena Ostapenko has been a Daily Dose of Social Media goldmine in recent weeks for her selling articles of clothing or other such household items on Twitter which have raised a smile in particular on tennis twitter.

Ostapenko went from showing off a Porsche on her Instagram seemingly having got home from the Maldives and it is you would presume the one she got for winning Stuttgart.

But she went from that to selling storage boxes for five euros and dirty trainers as someone mooted for 300 euros. Jessica Pegula, Desirae Krawczyk, Madison Keys and Jennifer Brady on Players Box found the whole saga hilarious and wondered if they could get her to sell items for them.

For reference, Ostapenko sold a Dyson hoover as well as half used perfume samples. The latter someone bought off Twitter merely it seems for the bit that they were getting something so heavily debated on.

Ostapenko as a multi millionaire doesn't need to do this but might also be doing it to feed into the hilarity that social media is giving.

From one US Open winner to another, Juan Martin del Potro was pictured with Carlos Alcaraz. He shared images from Miami, Florida with Alcaraz shirtless and seemingly enjoying some time off before he heads off for exhibitions.

No such shirtless antics from Del Potro but he was all smiles as he posed with the World No.1. Two legendary players, one rising legend and one retired legend.

Del Potro also figured in the news last week as he wasn't in the Hall of Fame in the end after not reaching the threshold.

Amanda Anisimova has gone from rest and relaxation to back in the lab as the American it seems is gearing up for the new year already showing that the off season is very much a myth when it comes to top names as she aims to get into the best possible place ahead of Australia.

"Been sleeping in my own bed lately, taking lotsa selfies with people I love," wrote Anisimova on Instagram (emojis and spelling removed).

But that soon turned to track season posts as she gears up it seems for the new season after spending most of her recent weeks posting pictures of herself at home like the one below with friends and family.

She is due to play in exhibitions in New Jersey and Miami in the coming weeks as she gears up for the new season and as a top five player now without the unknown but with the expectation. Anisimova enjoying her last semblance of non tennis action likely for a while but also a player who in reality manages her time well and was immediately into rest and relaxation after her Riyadh campaign.
