The
Ostrava Open continues on Wednesday with a strong 5-match schedule of play that will see several great players on the court.
One of the last major WTA events in 2020 continues on Wednesday with a strong schedule of play that will feature several strong players including a native Czech one. The programme will start at noon with a strong matchup between Elise Mertens and Amanda Anisimova. It's a very interesting matchup between two players who enjoy strong rallies so it should make for a great match. The level of tennis won't drop off in the next match as Azarenka takes on Krejcikova.
The Czech player has had a good Roland Garros and played really well in round one. Azarenka has been one of the best performers since the restart. The match is especially interesting as Krejcikova ousted Azarenka at the Roland Garros and now playing on home soil she will look to repeat that feat. After them, we will see Ostapenko take on Martic. Both didn't play too well lately so this will be a good opportunity to return to winning ways.
The evening part of the schedule will start at 18:00 with a strong matchup between Sakkari and Svitolina. Both players play aggressive and enjoy strong and short rallies. There should be a lot of winners which should make for a great spectacle for the Czech crowd. The last match of the day will be between
Anett Kontaveit and Sara Sorribes Tormo. It's a good matchup to wrap up the eventful day and the crowd will enjoy this one as well.
