Following her withdrawal from the upcoming 2024
Australian Open due to injury,
Karolina Muchova has suggested she may be closer to coming back than initially thought.
The Australian Open kicks off on January 14, and Muchova recently announced her withdrawal from the event due to a nagging wrist injury. The Czech star picked up the injury at the 2023 US Open, leading her to miss the rest of the season, including the year-ending
WTA Finals.
Muchova gives timeline on her return
In a recent AMA (ask me anything) session with her fans on Instagram, the 2023 French Open runner-up answered questions ranging from tennis to life in general. The 27-year old was candid with her responses, even telling an inquisitive fan when she'd be back from her recuperation.
"Hopefully I'm back in February," said Muchova.
Known for her proficiency at music, Muchova had previously shared a cover of Maroon 5's song "Sunday Morning." Fans were eager to know when she'd share more of her singing.
"Hah I am pretty shy with that... But you never know," Muchova replied.
