Kasatkina lauds praise on hard working Sabalenka: "You could clearly see that she’s making 1,000-percent effort to win a slam"

Daria Kasatkina has praised fellow pro Aryna Sabalenka for winning the Australian Open knowing how hard she worked for it over the years.

Sabalenka has been always known as a hard worker and somebody who plays tennis with a lot of passion. The desire to win was always strong and it was particularly strong in Australia recently. She was determined to win her maiden grand slam and she got the job done by beating Rybakina in the final.

Kasatkina said:

“I don’t know if people outside of tennis see it or not, but we are here and see everything inside, you could clearly see that she’s making 1,000-percent effort to win a slam. It’s a very important thing and she has talked about it many times.

You could see in the previous slams how important it was to her, and sometimes she was too tight because it was so important. It’s normal — if you want something so badly you get nervous. You could see when she won it was like the (pressure was lifted)."

She concluded with:

“She completely deserves it. She’s one of the hardest workers on the tour.”
