Kerber praises Gauff for what she has done in her career so far

Coco Gauff and Angelique Kerber will face each other later today on Manic Monday at Wimbledon and both spoke highly of each other ahead of the match. Gauff was asked about Kerber and she said:

“I mean, she’s a really nice person off the court. I remember when she won Wimbledon. I don’t know, I guess it was a win that a lot of people weren’t expecting at the time. I mean, she did it. She obviously knows what it takes to win at this level. She also had a great win last week in Germany."

Kerber was aslo asked about Gauff and she said:

“She played already so many good matches. She beat top players. She’s really dangerous, especially on the grass court. I see the fire on her, as well. She’s really putting all the effort she has into every single match. So I know that it will be a tough match."
