Johanna Konta is set for her first final in two years at the Nottingham Open after seeing off Nina Stojanovic 6-2, 6-7(5), 7-5.
Konta after losing to Sorana Cirstea at the French Open headed back to the UK early to take in the usual grass court warm-ups ahead of Wimbledon.
So far this week, it has been victories over Lesley Kerkhove, Kateryna Kozlova, Alison van Uytvanck before she saw off the Serbian 15th seed on Saturday.
Next up will be Shuai Zhang who had a route including Zarina Diyas, Kristina Mladenovic and Lauren Davis. Both players are emerging back on form seemingly at the right time ahead of Wimbledon.
If she wins, it would be Konta's first since MIami in 2017 and is her first final since the Italian Open in 2019 and despite being a staple in these warm-up events, she has never claimed a WTA title on grass.
