Daniil Medvedev made a remark about the tennis courts in
Indian Wells once more during his speech after the final complaining about their slowness of them with
Barbora Krejcikova pointing out a flaw in his remark.
Medvedev complained about the court speed from the start of the event going even far as calling it a fake hard court. He wasn't happy with it but made it work as he made his way to the final ultimately losing to Alcaraz in the process. The courts in Indian Wells are notoriously slow and have always been so it shouldn't have come as a surprise.
Krejcikova reacted to Medvedev's comments on social media joking about it by pointing out that he actually played all of his matches in the biggest stadium which is the fastest court of them all. The smaller ones played even slower:
"Daniil has funny approach. He played only on Stadium 1 and this court was actually the fastest out of all match courts in IW. (And I played on stadium 1, 2, 3 and 4)."
