Leylah Fernandez made a splash return to tennis at the
Billie Jean King Cup Finals in Glasgow beating Trevisan 6-0 6-0.
The Italian defeated Fernandez at Roland Garros in a match that saw the Canadian play with an ankle injury. She exacted her revenge in major fashion here utterly trashing Trevisan. There is not much to say about this 45-minute match because it was just a landslide.
Trevisan played aggressive tennis which is not unlike her but she could not keep the ball in play at all. Fernandez was quite assertive with her play as well taking initiative often. She forced Trevisan to commit 26 unforced errors which was simply too much.
Fernandez posted a 16-10 winner/unforced error ratio with the match finishing with a double bagel 6-0 6-0.
