Former world No. 1 Maria Sharapova took part in a Q&A session on her social media, where a fan asked if she would consider a career in coaching. The five-time Grand Slam champion responded with a cryptic message.

Sharapova is a WTA legend. With five majors to her name, she is one of the few players to have completed the Career Grand Slam. She won 36 titles, including 12 Tier 1 (now WTA 1000) trophies, and also claimed the silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games.

Her first major title came at Wimbledon when she was just 17 years old, making her the third-youngest player to win the tournament and the second-youngest in the Open Era. By the age of 18, she had already reached world No. 1. She won at least one singles title for 13 consecutive years and reached 10 major finals.

Since her retirement, Sharapova has never hinted at the possibility of becoming a coach. She is currently focused on motherhood, fashion, and business ventures, including her brand ‘Sugarpova.’

One of the most popular players of her era, Sharapova recently took part in a Q&A session on Instagram. When asked, “Will you ever consider coaching?” she responded with a vague “Me?” alongside a selfie, leaving fans speculating about her future.

The Russian was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame—alongside Bob and Mike Bryan—and is currently in Indian Wells, where she was spotted a few days ago posing for a photo with Andrey Rublev.
