Medvedev sails into Rotterdam final over Dimitrov

Daniil Medvedev continued to play sensational tennis in Rotterdam as the Russian smashed Dimitrov 6-1 6-2 to advance to the final which will be played tomorrow.

Medvedev has been playing the best tennis he played in a long time this week in Rotterdam. He's not had a really good start to the year but finally started looking close to his peak here with some impressive wins. He was amazing against Auger-Aliassime and he followed that up with another amazing performance today.

From the start, it was evident that Medvedev still has the spark and that it would be tough for Dimitrov. The Russian took an early break and then added another one a bit later. He finished it off with a 3rd break in the set 6-1. It was just a near-perfect set from Medvedev as everything worked including his serve.

The second one opened with a 2-0 lead for him again but he became a bit too loose and Dimitrov was able to make it 2-2 again. He was then down 0-40 on his serve giving Dimitrov a clear chance of turning around the match but he held his serve in that game. It proved crucial as he upped the intensity after that and cruised to a 6-2 finish.
