In a new Daily Dose of Social Media, Naomi Osaka revealed to her fans what her Labubu doll looked like, which was prepared for the potential US Open final—in which it paid tribute to her with an iconic outfit she wore the previous year at Flushing Meadows.
Meanwhile, Amanda Anisimova—just like Jasmine Paolini and Sara Errani in doubles—celebrated their titles at the China Open, while Novak Djokovic had a notable meeting with C-Pop star Wang Yibo after a tight victory at the Shanghai Masters.

Osaka reveals her unseen final Labubu

Naomi Osaka showed the last Labubu from her collection that went viral during the 2024 US Open. The four-time Grand Slam champion made headlines during the last major of the year—not only for her great run to the semifinals—but also for a particular accessory she carried every day she entered the Louis Armstrong and Arthur Ashe Stadium.
The former World No. 1 showed her collection of 'Labubus,' a popular collectible figure (blind box toy) that has been trending over the past year and is characterized by pointed ears and sharp teeth. Osaka's were custom-made, hand-painted, and covered in crystals in a New York style, paying tribute to several tournament legends. Some of the Labubus she presented during the tournament included: Billie Jean Bling (Billie Jean King), Arthur Flashe (Ashe), LaBillieBoo (Billie Jean King), Althea Glitterson (Gibson), and Andre Swagassi (Agassi).
However, Osaka's defeat in the semifinals at the hands of Amanda Anisimova prevented fans from seeing her final Labubu, which was prepared for the championship match. Nevertheless, the Japanese player posted the design she had ready for an eventual final on social media, with herself as the protagonist, modeled after the green outfit she wore in 2024.

Anisimova celebrates China Open glory

American tennis player Amanda Anisimova not only took home the 2025 China Open champion's trophy—her second WTA 1000 title of the season—but also capitalized on the moment on social media. After defeating the Czech Linda Noskova with a score of 6-0, 2-6, 6-2 in a high-intensity final, the 24-year-old World No. 4 celebrated her victory with a series of photos with the immense Beijing trophy. During the awards ceremony, the player took a selfie with the trophy and captured the moment of her celebration.
Anisimova lifted her second WTA 1000 title and now prepares for a new challenge at the Wuhan Open—the last WTA 1000 of the season—where she will face the winner between Varvara Gracheva (Qualifier) and Jessica Bouzas Maneiro (Lucky Loser).
“What a few weeks 😭🤯🤩 Beijing, you’re amazing!! Thank you all so much for the support and love 🫶🏼 what a ride it’s been team, love you guys! It’s been funnn @vleeshouwersrick @rob_brandsma @ssshaadii”

"Shanghai nights hit different": Djokovic survives Hanfmann scare

Novak Djokovic celebrated on social media the tight semifinal victory he had against Yannick Hanfmann, where he had to come from a set down before taking the win 4-6, 7-5, 6-3. After the match, the former world No. 1 also met the Chinese actor-singer celebrity Wang Yibo, with whom he shared a conversation after the match. This was an especially notable event for Wang Yibo, who is a well-known tennis and Djokovic fan, and a brand ambassador for Lacoste, the same company that sponsors Djokovic.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion advances again in a draw that looks more open than ever, presenting good possibilities for the Serbian, who now has a clear path with the chance to reach the final without facing any top-10 opponent—following the eliminations of Taylor Fritz, Jannik Sinner, and Ben Shelton on his side of the draw.

Sabalenka’s photoshoot from Greece

Aryna Sabalenka shared a new photoshoot, once again showing her love for Greece and the city of Athens, where she took several photos with her boyfriend Georgios Frangulis and enjoyed the sunset in the days leading up to her travel to Wuhan. The World No. 1 will begin her title defense in a couple of days while she waits to find out her first-round opponent, who will come from the match between Rebecca Sramkova and Anna Kalinskaya, who play on Tuesday.
Sabalenka is the heavy favorite for the title this time in Wuhan, as the three-time defending champion and current World No. 1, with her absence at the China Open mattering little. It will be the first tournament Sabalenka plays after winning the US Open title—her fourth major title—and the only preparation tournament she will have before the WTA Finals, her final commitment on the calendar.

Paolini and Errani triumph at China Open for fourth title of the season

Jasmine Paolini and Sara Errani once again celebrated a title together after defeating Fanny Stollár and Miyu Kato in the China Open doubles final this Sunday. The Italian pair—who entered as the second seed—secured their fourth title of the season as a team and their ninth overall title as a duo.
The Italians are in a great position heading into the end of the year, considering they now claim the top spot in the WTA Race rankings. With only a few tournaments left, both appear to have a clear chance of finishing the season as the doubles World No. 1, a position they will fight to secure at the upcoming WTA Finals.
For the moment, it was all celebration for the Europeans, who shared several pictures on social media celebrating another title together.
