Navratilova on Svitolina amid Ukraine tensions: "I cannot imagine how terrified Elina must be these days"

With the increasing possibility of a potential invasion by Russia into Ukraine, the eyes of the world are fixed on the two nations.

Martina Navratilova added a tennis perspective to this situation saying that she cannot imagine how terrified Elina Svitolina, the current top player on the WTA Tour from the latter nation is with the ongoing issues.

As well as throwing her support behind the Ukraine saying fingers crossed for them.

Svitolina despite splitting time between multiple countries including the UK where she has residency and of course France where her husband, Gael Monfils is from is based partly in her home of Odessa and also Kharkiv in her home country.
