"I have to play aggressive no matter what the score is" says Ostapenko on tactic in Dubai

Jelena Ostapenko will contest her first final in a while after playing superb tennis and reaching the finals in Dubai.

The 24-year old employs a very well known aggressive style of play that either works or doesn't. This week it's been working rather well and she will have a chance to win her first title in a while. On the win against Halep she said:

"I knew I have to play aggressive no matter what the score is. She really doesn't like to play against players who are playing aggressive and take time away from her."

She further said:

"[At first] my legs were, like, standing. They were not moving in the first set. That's why I was missing. When I changed that, everything changed. I don't think I really needed Plan B for this match. I think Plan A had to work well, and that's what happened the second and third sets."

She will contest against Kudermetova, another player who is in top form. It's a great matchup with a lot at stake.
