Osaka joins Barty in the final at the China Open

The former world number one, 2-time Grand Slam champion is having already 9 matches unbeaten streak. It all started in her hometown, Osaka, where she won the tournament without losing a set. She follows up on a good form also in China, when she lost a set only to 2019 US Open champion Bianca Andreescu.

After defeating Pegula, Petkovic, Riske and Andreescu she faced Wozniacki in the semifinals. Osaka won the match comfortably when she won the first set 6-4. Then she saved 6 break balls in the second to win it 6-2. In the final she will meet Ashleigh Barty, who managed to defeat Kiki Bertens.
