Osaka receives walkover through to Miami Open Last 16 due to Muchova injury

Naomi Osaka moves through to the Last 16 of the Miami Open and will face Ann Li or Alison Riske after Karolina Muchova withdrew due to a left abdominal injury.

Muchova made her return to action and has been superb but will seemingly rest up towards the clay season like most of the players that have withdrawn while Osaka's run continues into the latter stages.

"I'm sad that I cannot put up a battle against Naomi today. After a long break from tennis, 2 tough matches in row have been a lot for my body and I need longer to recover. Was nice to be part of Miami Open again! I will be back on clay," said Muchova on social media.
