Daria Kasatkina promoted her girlfriend
Natalia Zabiiako's YouTube channel to the crowd in the ongoing competition in China’s
city of Zhuhai.
The 26-year-old is currently taking part in the WTA Elite Trophy
where she has already won her first group match against Czech Republic’s Barbora
Krejcikova with a score of 7-5, 1-6, 6-1 on Wednesday.
While talking in a post-match on-court interview, Kasatkina,
after thanking the crowd for their support, promoted her girlfriend Zabiiako's YouTube
channel to the crowd.
“Thank you everyone for coming,” she said. “Thank you so
much guys. It means a lot and I feel your support. Also, if you want, our vlogs
are now on Bilibili. So subscribe. Now our Asian fans can see without VPN.”
The current world number 17 is now set to face off against Poland’s Magda
Linette in the second group match of the competition on Thursday.
It will be the fifth time when both players will meet on the tennis
court. In the previous four meetings, both players won on two occasions.
Both players last faced off in the second round of the
Australian Open where Kasatkina came out on top in straight sets with a score
of 6-3, 6-2.
