It has been a long time since Paula Badosa won 3 matches in the same tournament and the Catalan has managed to do so in the Rome Masters. In the third round she got rid of the Russian Diana Shnaider, who has overcome in a tough match that was decided in three sets;
Badosa played a very solid duel and, despite losing the first set by a tight 7-5, she did not give up, she was very serious during the rest of the match and ended up winning the next two sets by 6-4.
Thus, Paula, very aggressive to the rest, ended up taking 5 of the 16 break balls she had in the duel. The Russian, meanwhile, was left in 4 of 10. Overall it was a very even duel in which the Spaniard showed her greater experience to win.
