Karolina Pliskova is enjoying her best Grand Slam run in a long time with the Czech player through to the
Wimbledon semifinal after easily beating Golubic 6-2 6-2.
It has been an amazing run for Karolina Pliskova at Wimbledon in 2021 as the Czech player is through to the semifinals. It's her best ever result at the Slam and the ease with which she reached it make her seem like a big candidate to win it all. Against Golubic she was once again fabulous,
The start of the match featured a very aggressive Pliskova who was taking control of points quickly with her strong baseline player. She served great which allowed her to keep Golubic away from any potential breaks. She did not face any in the first set which was won with 6-2.
Golubic tried to match her aggressiveness but the Swiss player did not have her best today as far too many times she committed an error. A similar thing happened in the 2nd set as well as Pliskova once again took an early lead 3-0. At 4-2, Pliskova faced her biggest struggles yet having to save 3 break points in a game that saw 6 deuces.
She was able to do that and win it, taking a 5-2 lead in the process which practically sealed the deal for the Czech. She closed it out in the next game after another lengthy game that featured numerous deuces. Pliskova converted her 4th match point to win it.
