Race to the WTA Finals: Ostapenko up 13 places after Dubai win

The race to the WTA Finals continues after the past week with Jelena Ostapenko up 13 places after her title win in Dubai.

At this early point, Ashleigh Barty leads from Danielle Collins, Madison Keys, Iga Swiatek and Barbora Krejcikova.

Followed by Ostapenko then Anett Kontaveit, Paula Badosa, Simona Halep and Veronika Kudermetova to finalise the top 10.

Kudermetova herself went up 11 places after reaching the final against Ostapenko.

While Marketa Vondrousova also had one of the biggest rises with the Czech ace going up 22 spots to 19th. With Elena-Gabriela Ruse (up 11 to 26th), Garbine Muguruza (up nine to 31st) among those also on the rise at this early stage.
