The battle for qualification at the year-ending WTA Finals is heating up, as Jessica Pegula strengthens her bid in the WTA Race to Shenzen.

The top-ranked American won the biggest title of her career at last week's Canadian Open in Montreal, and accumulated crucial ranking points in the process.

Despite her round of 16 loss, World No.2 Aryna Sabalenka still sits atop the table due to her string of strong performances throughout the 2023 season. Trailing closely behind is World No.1 Iga Swiatek, while Pegula has solidified her position in third place, behind Elena Rybakina.
