Alex De Minaur in a thrilling encounter on Sunday, earning not just the biggest title of his career but also valuable ranking points that have seen him jump to a career high of World No.5 in the ATP Rankings.
The Italian leapfrogs Tsitsipas and Rublev to fourth place
After winning the first Masters 1000 title of his career, Sinner jumped up the ladder in the ATP Race to Turin. The 21-year old passed Stefanos Tsitsipas and Andrey Rublev, and now sits comfortably in fourth place behind the dangerous trio of Daniil Medvedev (3rd), Novak Djokovic (2nd) and Carlos Alcaraz (1st). Furthermore, Canadian Open runner-up Alex De Minaur moved into tenth place as the battle for qualification to Turin intensifies.
