Emma Raducanu has lamented her recent injuries struggles calling it 'bad luck' but she also understands that she was quite lucky with the way her career exploded.
Raducanu got her big break by playing some amazing tennis to win the US Open in 2021, something that the tennis world never saw before. She became the first qualifier to ever win a grand slam and since then it's been going pretty well for her. Not on the court but off the court her career has been thriving.
Reflecting on her on-court woes, Raducanu noted that she's been quite unlucky with injuries:
"Yeah, I mean, sometimes you wonder, like, you think, like how is this possible."
But she added that she's been lucky in the past so it balances it out:
"But then very quickly I think you create your own luck. It works both ways. I won the US Open as well, and I think I also have to take the bad luck sometimes, because also, like, good fortune has also come upon me. I think that I wouldn't trade that title for the world."
