Emma Raducanu has said she no longer feels safe in her own home or to go out on her own after a stalker visited her home three times and stole her fathers shoe.
Raducanu won the US Open and Amrit Magar, 35, decided to track down the British No.1 asking for directions to her home and drawing a map which illustrated the 23 miles he walked in the hope of meeting her.
According to the report by the Daily Mail, he decorated a tree in her front garden and then stole a trainer from the porch which he thought belonged to the tennis star but in fact belonged to her Dad.
He recognised the stalker from the doorbell camera and followed him in the car while ringing the police. He was found guilty at Bromley Magistrates' Court and will be sentenced next month.
“Since all this has happened, I have felt creeped out. I feel very apprehensive if I go out, especially if I am on my own," Raducanu said in a statement to the courts which was published by The Daily Mail.
“Because of this I feel like my freedom has been taken away from me. I am constantly looking over my shoulder. I feel on edge and worried this could happen again. I don’t feel safe in my own home which is where I should feel safest.”
