"Really honoured to be compared to Roger Federer" says Ons Jabeur

Ons Jabeur is a unique player in women's tennis today as her style of play is very different from the majority of WTA players nowadays.

Most WTA players are known for their hard-hitting and aggresive style of play going for winners very often with Jabeur a bit different. The Tunisian playre is known to build up point before finishing them. Her game is heavily reliant on tactics and switching up the tempo with her exquisite drop shot. It's without question one of the best on the WTA tour and that has earned her comparisons with Roger Federer.

The first comparisons came at Wimbledon where Jabeur was playing sensational tennis going deep into the event. Remembering that she said:

"I think Roger has an unbelievable, like, slice and drop shot. He can make drop shots anytime. Some people were comparing us in Wimbledon especially when they saw the clip of me slicing. Of course, you cannot compare. They said kind of the style of Federer, which I'm really honoured to be compared to him. Yeah, I love Roger's drop shot and slices."

The Tunisian player possesses a lot of variety in her game which makes her a terrific watch for any tennis fan especially in the era of hard-hitting players that don't offer much else. Jabeur also admitted that Federer congratulated her after her win over Swiatek in Wimbledon saying:

"Actually I got congratulated by Roger after my match, which was amazing," she said. "I think now I’m good in my tennis career!"
