Sabalenka & Azarenka make winning start to bett1 Open doubles event

The two best Belarussian tennis players Sabalenka & Azarenka decided to play doubles at the bett1 Open event and they made a great start.

Aryna Sabalenka and Victoria Azarenka decided to play doubles together at the bett1 Open in Berlin. The decision is probably motivated by the fact they both play the singles of the event and as a way to practice for the Olympic Games. It's not yet confirmed they will play the doubles for Belarus at the Tokyo Olympic Games but it's most likely.

They played against Czech duo Muchova & Pliskova and they dominated the game from start to finish. Sabalenka is a very good doubles player currently ranked number 8 and a former world number one. Their game was centred around her play and both Sabalenka and Azarenka played well. Their aggressive styles fit well on the grass.

They won over 80% of their first-serve points while hitting four aces en route to the 6-1 6-3 finish in 61 minutes of play. The duo is the 4th seeds at the event and they will look to continue their great play possibly even winning the title.
