Tennis coach Sascha Bajin believes that
Victoria Azarenka is similar to
Serena Williams in more ways than one, with their will to win being a quality that is shared by both ladies.
Bajin, who worked with Williams for several years and later had a stint with Azarenka, disclosed that although both women were big-hitters of the ball, their resilience is what pushes them further than other competitors.
"Victoria Azarenka always had this resilience, like Serena Williams," Bajin said on The Functional Tennis Podcast. "The one thing that stood out about Azarenka was her 'wanting to win no matter what' situation."
Bajin would go on to state that Azarenka's highly competitive nature drove her to win, regardless of the sport or competition.
"She had this mentality that really came about even if we were just playing squash [in training], and that was something I found interesting," Bajin added. "She had the hunger [to win] in anything; Squash, cards, anything."
