Schedule and Preview Indian Wells Open 2025 Day Ten Friday March 14 including Sabalenka - Keys and Andreeva – Swiatek
WTA
The schedule for the Day Ten at Indian Wells has been confirmed for Friday, March 14, featuring two thrilling women’s semi-finals: Iga Swiatek vs Mirra Andreeva, followed by Aryna Sabalenka vs Madison Keys. Arguably the four best players of the season so far, they lead the WTA Race, which only considers points earned in 2025.
The world No. 1 and No. 2 are on opposite sides of the draw, aiming for a dream final. However, both face daunting challenges — American Keys is the reigning Australian Open champion, riding a 15-match winning streak, while teenager Mirra Andreeva is on a 10-match run and recently claimed the WTA 1000 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.

Swiatek seeks revenge against red-hot Andreeva
This semi-final offers a chance for revenge for the five-time Grand Slam champion after falling to Andreeva just a couple of weeks ago in the Dubai quarter-finals. The Russian teenager has firmly established herself among the Tour’s elite at just 17 years old, showing a level of consistency that makes her a threat to any player.
Andreeva advanced to her first Indian Wells semi-final with a flawless run, defeating Varvara Gracheva (No. 70), Clara Tauson (No. 21), Elena Rybakina (No. 7), and Elina Svitolina (No. 23) without dropping a set. Her 10-match winning streak includes six victories over top-25 players and three against the top 10 — a testament to her immense confidence.
Though not the favourite, if Andreeva maintains her recent level, she could pose a serious challenge to Swiatek. It’s remarkable how composed and experienced she already seems, with plenty of room to grow.
Swiatek, on the other hand, has been the tournament’s most dominant player, conceding just 12 games across her four matches. She breezed past Caroline Garcia (No. 71), Dayana Yastremska (No. 46), Karolina Muchova (No. 15), and Zheng Qinwen (No. 8) — with Zheng posing the biggest "challenge" in a 6-3, 6-3 win where the Pole dropped serve twice. Still, it was a commanding performance against one of the Tour’s top names.

Andreeva has added more variety to her game lately. She doesn’t just rely on power but uses slices and drop shots effectively, adapting to each opponent. Her serve has also been solid, but she’ll need to keep her first-serve percentage high, as Swiatek excels at punishing second serves on these courts.

Revenge or repeat? Sabalenka and Keys face off in Australian Open rematch
The night session at Tennis Paradise will close with a thrilling clash between world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka and 2025 Australian Open champion Madison Keys — a rematch of their Melbourne final, where the American claimed her first Grand Slam title with a 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 victory over the two-time defending champion.
While Keys is making her first Indian Wells semi-final appearance after 12 attempts, Sabalenka has been here before, reaching the 2023 final, where she lost to Elena Rybakina in another repeat of that year’s Australian Open final.
The two have faced off six times, with Sabalenka leading their head-to-head 4-2. However, Keys arrives brimming with confidence, looking physically sharp and having secured impressive wins over top opponents like Donna Vekic and Belinda Bencic on her path to the semis.

Sabalenka, on the other hand, has rediscovered her best form at Tennis Garden. Before the quarter-finals, she hadn’t faced any top-40 opponents, but against Liudmila Samsonova (No. 25), she rose to the occasion, cruising to a 6-2, 6-3 victory without facing any real trouble.
First-serve percentages will be crucial in this encounter, as both are arguably the biggest hitters on the Tour. In the Australian Open final, Sabalenka landed 70% of her first serves, winning 60% of those points, while Keys hit 67% of her first serves and claimed 69% of those points. Margins were razor-thin in a match that came down to who held their nerve in the pressure moments.
