It includes four well known names battling it out over the two games today on the Schedule of Play to go one step closer to claiming the title in Doha.
The first match is an intriguing one and it sees Aryna Sabalenka, the no.9 seed taking on Svetlana Kuznetsova.
Sabalenka battled past Zheng Saisai yesterday coming from a set down and having to play against swirling winds to win through letting out a roar in doing so.
Kuznetsova had it a bit more plain sailing claiming a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Belinda Bencic to reach her first Semi-Final in Doha since 2007.
She has not lost a set this week and will very much likely go into the top 32 before Roland Garros as the 35 year old continues to rise again.
Then it is the turn of the number one seed Ashleigh Barty who survived a mid match blip against Garbine Muguruza to sail through 6-1, 6-7, 6-2.
Barty will be pleased with that victory against a player who has been in superb form as of late and has sprang back into life.
She will now be favourite to claim the title due to playing one less game as well with a walkover given due to Elena Rybakina withdrawing earlier in the tournament.
Next up though will be Petra Kvitova who battled past Ons Jabeur. It was a 7-6, 7-6 win for the Czech ace.
She twice trailed Jabeur by a break in the second set and saved two set points before securing her ninth victory in a row in Doha and so it will be interesting to see if she can make it 10.
