Canada’s tennis star Denis Shapovalov and Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur will be monitoring some predictions that are becoming a reality.
The 2024 tennis season is midway after completing the French Open 2024. In the men’s singles category, Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz lifted the title after beating Germany’s Alexander Zverev in a five-set thriller with a score of 6-3, 2-6, 5-7, 6-1, 6-2.
In the women’s singles category, world number one Iga Swiatek won in straight sets against Italy’s Jasmine Paolini, 6-2, 6-1.
Interestingly, those results were predicted by a user — a wannabe Gaslighter — on the social media platform X. The user predicted the potential winners of all the major events in 2024 before the start of the season, and so far, two events predictions have been proven right.
The user also predicted that Italy’s Jannik Sinner and Serbia’s Aryna Sabalenka would win the Australian Open, which became a reality as well.
Sinner defeated Russia’s Daniil Medvedev in the final in Melbourne in a five-set thriller, winning 3-6, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-3.
On the other hand, Sabalenka defeated China’s Qinwen Zheng in the Australian Open final in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2, to lift the title.

Carlos Alcaraz lifted the French Open after beating Germany’s Alexander Zverev in the final.
The user predicted that Canada’s Shapovalov and Tunisia’s Jabeur would lift the title at Wimbledon, which would excite the fans of those two players.
Out of the two, the surprising pick is Shapovalov, whose best appearance in any Grand Slam came in 2021 when he lost the semifinal at Wimbledon to the former world number three Serbia’s Novak Djokovic in straight sets with a score of 7-6, 7-5, 7-5.
On the other hand, Jabeur has been one of the top performers at Wimbledon in the last two years, finishing as the runner-up on both occasions. She lost in the 2021 edition to Elena Rybakina with a score of 3–6, 6–2, 6–2. Jabeur then lost to Marketa Vondrousova in the final at Wimbledon last year with a score of 6-4, 6-4.
