Fans on the social media platform X — previously known as
Twitter — came out in support of Britain’s tennis star
Emma Raducanu.
A UK-based podcast creator Buvey made some remarkable comments
where he claims that he can win three points against the former
world number 10.
"I get my first serve in, have you seen me serve? I get
the serve in at 50mph, underarm serve for god's sake. She has to respond, she
might under pressure because of the big name she is, she hits the net. Why
can't there be an unforced error from her side because of pressure?,” he said.
Those comments did not go down well with the fans
on social media who came and defended the star player.
Raducanu is currently spending time on the sidelines as she
continues her recovery from injuries.
The 20-year-old broke onto the scene in 2021 as she lifted
the US Open title after beating Canada’s Leylah Fernandez in the final with a score
of 6-4, 6-3.
That victory was an even more special one considering that Raducanu
started that competition through the qualifying stage and became the first British
player to win a major title through that route.
