Former world number one Serena Williams childhood coach Rick Macci has picked Serbia’s Novak Djokovic as the player who has had the best career out of the famous ‘Big Three’.
In the world of men’s singles tennis, the word ‘Big Three’ refers to three players who dominated the sport for nearly two decades—Djokovic, Switzerland’s Roger Federer and Spain’s Rafael Nadal.
There has often been discussion about who out of the three can be called the greatest of all time.
Macci, in a post on his official account on social media platform X—previously known as Twitter—picked Djokovic as the player who had the best career out of the three.
He further went on to state that Federer had the best serve whereas Nadal had the best topspin.
Djokovic has won the most Grand Slams in the history of men’s singles tennis in the Open era (24).
On the other hand, Federer was the first player in the history of men’s singles tennis to win more than 15 Grand Slam titles. He was also the first to lift 20 major titles in his career.
Nadal, on the other hand, has won 22 Grand Slams in his illustrious career. He was the first to win more than 20 major titles in the men’s singles category.
