Simona Halep is out of Tokyo Olympic Games due to an injury that forced her to pull out of Roland Garros and Wimbledon.
Simona Halep suffered a calf injury during the clay season which forced her to withdraw from Roland Garros and Wimbledon. Now the injury forced her out of the Tokyo Olympic Games. The news was confirmed by Mihai Covaliu, president of the Romanian Olympic Committee.
It has been a nightmarish month and a half for Halep ever since she sustained a lower leg injury. She has missed Roland Garros and Wimbledon and will now miss the Tokyo Olympic Games. The Romanian was looking forward to playing at the Olympics as she enjoys representing her country.
Halep was also the desgianted flag bearere of Romania at the Ceremony which is a great honour that is now gone as well. Halep has not yet commented on the matter but once she does we will have it ready for you.
