Simona Halep ended her longtime relationship with her coach Darren Cahill a hired new coaches for the start of the 2022 season.
Halep explained the decision as something that needed to be done with the working relationships not being as successful as they both had hoped. Halep then admitted to being excited for her new coaching staff that consisted of Daniel Dobre and Adrian Marcu but it seems like that relationship quickly soured as well.
According to reports in Romania (Digi Sport), Halep has parted ways with both coaches after a very dissipating run at the Australian Open. The Romanian player played fine but ran into a very inspired Alize Cornet who bested Halep cutting short her campaign she wanted to take her all the way to the trophy.
What will happen in the future remains to be seen as the reports don't suggest a replacement just yet. Cahill moved on as well becoming the coach of Amanda Anisimova.
