🇺🇸 Sofia Kenin has withdrawn from #BNPPO21. Hope to see you back next March 🌴
The BNP Paribas Open Indian Wells tournament has lost some more star-power as 2020 Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin has withdrawn from the event.
The tournament organizers announced on Wednesday that Kenin will not be competing at this year's event. Although no reason was given at the time, the 22-year old has been struggling with injury all season.
Furthermore, Kenin tested positive for Covid-19 in August and was forced to pull out of the US Open. The American is currently ranked World No.8, and hopefully will be able to make a comeback before the season comes to an end.
