Former player Stubbs has criticised a publication for omitting Steffi Graf from the list of the best one-handed backhand player noting how effective it was.
Graf is a legendary player who needs no introduction as her skill is well known to the wider tennis audience. One of the best players of all time, Graf had an array of weapons including a one-handed backhand that Stubbs described as torturous. However, one tennis publication omitted her from the list of best one-handed backhand players and the Australian called them out on it:
